Has it ever crossed your mind that you might be flooding your followers with too many Tweets at once? It certainly has crossed mine a lot. That is why I never wanted to tweet too many tweets back to back overwhelming them with too much information.
Yet, I was still reading lots of great blogposts every day, which I wanted to share with my followers. After using Buffer for a few weeks, I have realized that the App solves this exact problem brilliantly.
How does Buffer work?
With Buffer you add tweets to your Buffer and the App in return schedules them for you. You can even add tweets right there from any page you are on with a click on the handy browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
1.) Adding tweets to your Buffer
Filling up your Buffer with Tweets is super simple. Either insert them into your Tweet Panel on your Buffer home account. Or use Buffer’s “Killer” feature and add tweets from any page you are reading with one of the browser extensions. Here is an example of Mark’s posts:
2.) Adjust Timing of your Tweets
The frequency of your Tweets is totally up to you. Under “settings” on your home account you can add, delete or change the times your daily tweets go out each day. Here are my daily times:
3.) Get analytics for your Buffered Tweets
Something I particularly appreciated when using Buffer that I will never lose track as about what impact my tweets are having. Buffer displays Clicks on your links, Retweets, Avatars of who retweeted you and Reach of your tweets.
Here is a set of my analytics:
Can using Buffer really help me?
If it is your intention to make a bigger impact on Twitter, I strongly suggest you give Buffera go. It lets you create a necessary consistency on Twitter in order to build trust and a community around your account. In addition I am able to tweet all these great blogposts I am coming across each day without spamming my followers. They receive one tweet at a time and they can catch up with my Tweeting in a timely manner.
Give Buffer a try and let me know below what you think about it. Do your views differ to mine?
