Most people who have been in internet marketing for a considerable amount of time could easily have access to a host of content, all within their own library. If this describes you, then you are quite possibly sitting on a goldmine. By repurposing your existing content you can easily steer traffic your way with fresh and valuable backlinks. If you are interested in learning how to get more conversions on your site, then this article is for you.
I'm going to explain a method that may seem to echo of article marketing, but it's different. Some of you already know me, as well as my opinion on article marketing, which is to steer clear of it. Sites with little to no value, combined with articles of low value are destined to fail. I'm quite surprised to see people still claiming that it's an effective method. It just isn't.
I am referring to a completely different technique, by taking your existing content and giving it a facelift. This will help attract a fresh audience, with the prospect of new customers, all while building your integrity with Google. The best news is that it doesn't matter what you are endorsing. It could be anything from a glass computer corner desk, digital photography, to the latest in 4G cell phones.
Do you know which pages on your site have been the most prevalent for the past few months? If you don't know, you can easily find out by using Google Analytics. It would benefit you significantly to know the information this can provide, such as the low bounce rate, number of unique hits per page, and the time spent by each visitor on the page.
Once you have found it, how long did it take you to create these pages?
You most likely spent more than twice the time to do the research for it, than you did in actually writing. That's normal. Truth is though, the more time you spend writing about a topic, the less time you will probably need in researching that particular subject. However, research will, and should, always be a factor in creating quality articles.
The end result of careful research and drafting is a high quality and informative article that will enhance your site. An investment is born.
However, imagine utilising that investment by converting your existing content and research into fresh, new articles for other top sites. Of course, including a couple of anchor text links, leading right back to your site, will generate more traffic to your site. Clever, right?
It can happen, read on.
As stated earlier, I have a negative opinion on article marketing. In fact, it became a campaign of mine because I realised that several people are being misguided by those who are advocating software, courses, and books that encourage this method. So, I went to work on writing an informative article, describing why people should stay away from this process.
After spending hours gathering information, including statistics from reputable places such as Google, I was ready. Using that information, along with taking from my own experience, I developed a comprehensive outline.
I then drafted two articles from that outline. One was just over 1,900 words, with the other approximately 3,700 words. Staying away from article marketing, they each had their own unique viewpoint to avoid repetition. Next, I submitted both articles on two reputable sites that accept material from guests, FamousBloggers.net and ComLuv.com.
The outcome attracted a great deal of attention to my own website, and a boost in product familiarity, due to numerous retweets and comments per each article. The well-known AffiliateABCs podcast also noticed, and requested an interview with me for their show. Due to the success of that particular show, it was then chosen by GeekCast.com for a rebroadcast.
However, I didn't stop there. I took on a freelance writer to utilise the same outline to produce 3 more articles, each with a different angle giving me 3 distinctive pieces. I then placed these articles on 3 different sites that allow guests to submit material. I also obtained permission from AffiliateABC to air my interview with them on my Coffee Talk show.
By the end, my investment of 3 hours spent creating a comprehensive outline for just one anecdote had an incredible outcome of 8 converted and distinct content pieces, as well as three podcasts.
If you have applied the effort to develop your best content, then you should convert it to obtain more from it. I am not referring to spinning, but rather reinventing material with a fresh makeover to be placed on sites with a minimum of a PR3 and not farmed out to low ranking sites.
In case you are equating this SEOAn acronym for 'search engine optimisation', the series of processes used to improve your ranking in search engines and drive more web traffic to your website organically.
Learn more about SEO method to article marketing, consider that just one backlink from a PR3 site holds the value of 1,000 links from the depleted value of a PR0 content farm. I should also mention that it could be detrimental to your site to be linked to sites that hold no value.
Whether your content is about travel guides, weight loss, or even a Bestar Hampton corner desk, the effort you put forth in repurposing it will play out rather well for your site.
